What was Carly Patterson’s floor exercise music at the 2004 Athens Olympics?

It was a jazzy piece and could possibly be by Benny Goodman.

Where will Mats Sundin play next year?

Vancouver has offered Sundin a two year deal worth 20 million dollars, and he refused because Vancouver is not likely to win the Stanley Cup over the next two years. Mats Sundin wants something more than money, which is to raise Stanley Cup to his head. I bet that ends in one of these five teams next year: Montreal, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Dallas, or Detroit.

I do not know what he wants Mat. I think if I really wanted a cut that would have agreed to delay a competitor in recent years. The teams indicated MTL-7, 5 million of space at the top need to sign RFA O'Byrne Pitts 2.6 million of the area of the PAC still has one or two agencies to fill List of San Jose 1.3 million in the space of the CAP. yet to sign a couple of players from Dallas 3.6M space still below a pair of space bodies Det 4M, but you have to Flippula. Based on the foregoing, it follows that Montreal 5 teams have only space to offer a decent contract without a body in motion. Vancouver has 10 m of the CAP in space, but it seems to be accepted the offer and if I wanted to play in Vancouver. I continues to believe that he will retire, except that I think will sign in Toronto or Montreal.

Floor Safety
Stripping, refinishing 120 yr old floor?

I recently tore the carpet up in my 1885 built farmhouse, to find hardwood floors. They need a little patching, and I think I use a woodfiller of some type for the few cracks in the floor. Some of the floor is painted, and I have bought paint stripper for that. I plan on stripping, renting a belt sander and then re-staining and varnishing. I have the safety materials I need already, I understand the hazards of lead based paints. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice to make it look the best? I want to stain it a dark wood if that matters. Thanks in advance for your thoughtful answers.

I refinished the floors in my 1919 cape cod, so you are up for a daunting task. Before you get started stripping, sanding and filling, check all of the boards. Look for wood rot, nails missing, cracks and the integrity of each one. You may have to replace boards, repair boards and secure boards. You may find if there are several coats of paint that it is next to impossible to remove, so have a plan B and start on the boards that are painted first. I agree with the person above, be very careful with the power tools so you don’t do any damage, wear a respirator, work in a well ventilated area and in small manageable areas. Don’t forget when you are finished to seal the floor with a non-yellowing, UVB/UVA protecting polyurethane and give it several coats.

Daycare Mats
Nap Time Behavior Problems at Day Care?

My 3 yr old is refusing to take his nap or even lay down at Daycare. Instead he runs around the room screaming and hitting his friends with his blanket and other things. Sometimes kicks. The teachers are calling, but he refuses to get on the phone. They relay my message – it’s nap time, you don’t have to sleep, but you do have to lay on your mat and be quiet. We have started taking toys and treats away and granted back when he is good, but that isn’t working. I don’t know what to do! He takes them at home, or at least lays there being quiet until nap time is over. I need some suggestions, before he gets kicked-out.

Are there items that your son usually has when he naps at home and does not have when he is at daycare? He might want/need a special pillow, blanket, or stuffed animal.
He might need to be moved to a different area of the room. Could the teacher give him a quiet toy or a couple of books to look at while he lays down? When I worked in daycare, I was in the 3 year old room, we would allow certain ones that we knew did not nap to look at books or have a quiet toy. We also had these children in a different area of the room from the ones that did nap. If you ask for this, they should be able to accommodate these requests quite easily.
You might want to talk to your son about what is expected and give him a chance to earn stickers/points for when he lays down and it quiet. With these stickers/points, he can earn treats or other rewards. Give him a goal to work for. It could be ice cream, Chuck E. Cheese, trip to the Zoo, etc. as long as it is something he will enjoy.
