Information About Professional Super Heavyweight Bodybuilders

Bodybuilding is a sport that categorizes athletes in several ways. There are amateur bodybuilders, and professional bodybuilders. Within those categories, there are a variety of sub-categories that deal with factors such as weight.

This is because it would simply not be fair to allow a 120 lb bodybuilder to compete with a 300 lb bodybuilder. Here are a rundown of the various weight classes in bodybuilding for men:

Bantamweight -- 143 lbs or less

Lightweight -- over 143 lbs but less than 154 lbs

Middleweight -- over 154 lbs but less than 176 lbs

Light Heavyweight -- over 176 lbs but less than 198 lbs

Heavyweight -- over 198 lbs but less than 225 lbs

Super Heavyweight -- over 225 lbs

As you can see, the super heavyweight designation is for the largest and heaviest bodybuilders. There are many professional super heavyweight bodybuilders who have gained success in their weight class. For example, Bob Cicherillo, Eric Dilauro and Chris Cook are all professional super heavyweight bodybuilders who have won various titles and enjoyed success.

If you're thinking about becoming a super heavyweight bodybuilder, there are some factors you need to consider. One is your natural body type. Sometimes, an individual is built a certain way and just can't reach that weight level. However, with the right workout and nutritional program, many bodybuilders can reach the super heavyweight class. To maintain such a weight, you'll need a specially devised workout program designed to build sculptured bulk, along with a special diet that includes large amounts of protein and carbs consumed at frequent intervals throughout the day. You may also need to add an all-natural bulk building supplement to your diet as well.

Becoming a professional super heavyweight bodybuilder is something that will require an entire lifestyle change. You'll have to devote yourself to working out and eating right. If you don't, you'll never reach the level you desire.
