Royal Blue
What exactly is the color royal blue?
I have seen 3 different examples on the web. My new employer said that I needed to buy royal blue bottom scrubs. She said that I could get them at Walmart or National Outdoors. Walmart only has navy blue, ciel, and light blue. Does any place actually have their scrubs labeled as royal blue? I guess I have to wait until Monday to call and ask her for a better definition.
These scrub pants are royal blue:

Roayl is definitely different than navy, ceil, or light blue. Wal-mart doesnt always have the best selection or prices for scrubs. Go here and you can find almost any style of scrub pant you want in royal blue:

Gel Pads
Has anyone had success with gel pads?
I’ve never tried one on my horse because every time I see someone else use one it turns into a disaster. Several of my friends tried one and their horses all started moving in that wiggly, trying to move out from under it way. One would even stop and kick out every few strides. They just hated it, even when worn over a bareback pad. So does anyone have any good experiences with them? Does anyone have a horse that likes them? Wow, lots of good answers guys. Thank you.
We used them on the show jumpers that I worked with. One mare in particular had a VERY sensitive back, and she responded quite well to the gel pad. The pad helps quite a bit to cushion the weight of the rider on the horse’s back.
The other advantage of gel is the you can use it therapeutically as well. We would keep one of ours in the freezer so that we had the option of using it as a cold compress. The horses loved it on hot days – you put the cold gel over the pad but under the saddle, and it helped them to stay comfortable in the heat, without it being direct cold over their back.
The other one (plastic-ish outer casing – don’t know how the fabric covered ones respond to this!) we would throw in the microwave before throwing it on the mare with the touchy back. She appreciated the heat (again over the pad so it’s not directly against her skin).
Although one tidbit of advice – don’t throw them in the washing machine! The rider thought she’d help do the laundry one time and took the cloth covered gel pads and threw them in the washing machine – absolutely destroyed them! The spin cycle shoved all the gel into lumps so they could never be used again!
As with anything else, it doesn’t solve a poorly fitted saddle. It may be a band-aid solution to make things tolerable until you solve the real problem, but it isn’t a fix-all.
It surprises me to hear that several of your friends had such difficulties with the use of gel pads. There is absolutely no reason for a horse to have an adverse reaction to them – it’s soft and cushiony, so the pad itself should be causing no pain or discomfort. Incorrect use could be the culprit here, and there is most likely something else that is problematic for the horse going on. Also, if there are any defects in the gel pad it should not be used – horses are all afflicted with the “princess and the pea” syndrome – they’re so sensitive that even the slightest wrinkle of bump in the fabric or gel on their back can cause major discomfort. I also don’t recommend putting the gel pad directly on the horse without a pad underneath – if it’s a plastic-ish one it could feel strange and/or uncomfortable.
Hope that helps!
Physiotherapy is one thing which is routinely done to those who have undergone surgery or serious injury. Some injuries or surgeries that use this are those who involve the muscles or neurological processes. Neurological physiotherapy is the atrophy that can occur when the nervous system is involved. Loss Gym
What is the best weight loss weight gym routine. When will I see results?
I lost 30 pounds, but my body fat has inched up a few percentage points. Does my plan look good?
I want to get by body into shape for what else for the girls and the beach..lol
My routine is
10 minutes of Cardio
30 minutes of weight lifting
10 minutes of cardio
5 minutes of cooling down
Also any other suggestions for me.
If you have not lifted weights on a consistent basis for at least a year, my first recommendation is to do full-body workouts that hit all the major muscle groups three times a week. Here’s a sample full-body workout:
Squat or leg press Bench Press Lat pulldown or bent-over row Shoulder (military) press Upright row Tricep extensions Leg extension Bicep curls Leg curls
5-10 minutes of cardio as a warm-up is good. If you can get your weight training routine done in 30 minutes, that’s great. Most people lift weights for 45 minutes, and you don’t want to do more than an hour.
The number of sets and repetitions (and the weight you use) will depend on your goals. First, you need to figure out what your one-rep max is for each exercise — that’s the absolute most weight you can lift one time with proper form. Once you’ve got those numbers, figure out what your goal is.
If your goal is to lose fat and tone up what you have, you’ll want to do fewer sets, more repetitions, and less weight. A typical “cutting” workout is three sets of 12-15 repetitions using a weight that’s around 65% to 70% of your one-rep max. Take two seconds to raise the weight and two seconds to lower the weight, rest for 30-60 seconds between sets, and try to go from one exercise to the next as quickly as possible.
If you want to build more muscle, you need to lift heavier weights doing more sets and fewer repetitions. A typical “bulking” workout is six sets of six to eight repetitions using a weight that’s 80% to 85% of your one-rep max. Take two seconds to raise the weight and four seconds to lower the weight, concentrating on form. Rest for 90-120 seconds between sets and between the different exercises.
The cardio at the end is not necessary, but the cool-down is. Some stretching or light aerobics is good for cool-down. You’re really better off doing 30-60 minutes of dedicated cardio on your non-lifting days.
Best of luck!
