You can get carpal tunnel in the palm of your hand and wrist?
I have strange bumps that reminds me when I arrived there are years of the carpal tunnel. But they are in the palm of my hand this time instead of the wrist. I drive a bus for a living so that my hands are repetitive movements, I also broke my little finger, a few months ago in the same hand and really not won a full movement back. The bumps annoy me, but not painful. Someone knows what it could be?
It could be carpal tunnel. The muscles that are affected by the extension of the carpal tunnel in the wrist near half of the hand. But the shots that you mention sound like cysts of any kind. Go to your doctor and get x-rays to confirm his suspicions.

Table Exercise
How many teaspoons of table sugar will be be burnt by exercising the arm to exhaustion?
I’m guessing here, but this is my logic. There are a lot of variables to consider, such as the size/weight of the individual, if they are conditioned to working out or not, how long it takes to bring an arm to exhaustion, etc. So I’m making some assumptions.
Weight lifting or body building, with vigorous effort, burns about 422 calories an hour for a 155 lb person. With light or moderate effort, it only burns about 211 calories per hour.
From what I’ve read, it can take about 133 minutes to exercise an arm to exhaustion. That would burn 935 calories with vigorous effort, and only 468 with light or moderate effort.
Sugar contains 4 calories per gram. One level teaspoon of table sugar contains 15 calories.
So to answer your question, anywhere between 31 teaspoons (light/moderate effort) to 62 teaspoons (vigorous effort) will be burnt by exercising the arm to exhaustion.

Inversion System [affmage source="cj" results="100"]Inversion System[/affmage] [affmage source="amazon" results="10"]Inversion System[/affmage] My LM324 Will not invert a voltage signal…why?
I am using an LM324 quad op-amp to attempt to invert a signal. I followed the set up exactly…2 resisters…one from the signal and one doing feedback from (v- to vout).
My ground is 0 (pin 11) and my Vcc is +5 (pin 4). My input signal runs through a resister then converges with the feedback resistor into pin (2). The v+ pin connects directly to ground (pin 3). Finally the output voltage sends a feedback and passes the voltage out of the system (via pin 1).
I dont understand why my signal is NOT inverting. Why would pin 11 suggest a different value than ground? I realize some op amps need both a +5 and a -5 voltages to operate, but this one does not ask for that. Does that mean this IC cannot possible invert a signal?
Also…i realize that although the signal comming in will be +/- 5V…the signal out will be reduced to approximately -/+4V due to the op amp limitations.
How can I fix this inversion problem?
Your op-amp can only give an output that is within its supply voltage range (less some losses).
So, if your supply is +5V and 0, the only outputs you can get are between +5V and 0.
Tension Release
Where did Frank Lloyd Wright get the idea for compression, tension and release?
He used this technique on most of his designs. But I cannot find where or how he came about with this technique? Was it Louis Sullivan’s? Anyone know where I can find the answer in print?
Frank Lloyd Wright sought to create an “American” architecture. Wright gained inspiration from his childhood on the family farmlands of Southern Wisconsin. Wright viewed those years as an intimate introduction to the aesthetics of nature. He discovered the catalyst to new principles of architectural expression only after he chose to imitate the prairies of the Midwest. The prairies had been a strangely open land. He believed that the open landscape was nature’s eloquent way of making freedom visible.
He used “compression and release” to make his buildings “speak” directly of freedom, the one great ideal of the American people. This confining space, termed the “compress,” made the visitor uncomfortable and encouraged them to move from the entrance into the larger main room, hence the “release.” The “release” also imparts a feeling (or the impression) of freedom.
Wright was a stickler for good manners and often used “compression and release” to promote this trait in visitors. Wright designed entrances as narrow hallways with extremely low ceilings, often no more than six feet high. The claustrophobic hallways encouraged a flow of traffic into the main room, thereby preventing people from obstructing the entrance. A similar concept of encouraging good behavior through architecture can be seen in the group dining room of Taliesin West. This room had ceilings that were also uncomfortably low, which encouraged diners to sit at the tables instead of standing.
Compression and release, which is also known as “tension and resolution” or “embrace and release,” were concepts that Wright used in many of his designs, including the playroom in his Oak Park Home and Studio, Johnson Wax Headquarters, the Unity Temple in Oak Park, Illinois, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, Kentuck Knob, and many others.
The evolution of Wright’s architecture was briefly summarized by Donald Hoffman in “Understanding Frank Lloyd Wright’s Architecture” (Dover Publications, Inc., 1995).
The technique of compression and release are discussed in greater detail in by Grant Hildebrand in “The Wright Space. Pattern and Meaning in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Houses” (University of Washington Press 1991).
